Specifically devised for FAT file systems, Hetman FAT Recovery can restore damaged, deleted, and even formatted data from any FAT12, FAT16, and FAT32 drive, regardless of how your valuable photos, documents, or media files were lost. The entire recovery process is simple and straightforward, thanks to the program wizard-based interface, though a couple of more sophisticated tools have been also included for savvy users, such as its HEX-Editor.
If you follow the program’s recovery wizard, you will have your lost files back in no more than four steps – select the disk (or a specific lost partition), the type of analysis you want the program to perform, the file or files you want to recover, and where and how you prefer to save your recovered files. Fast Scan is advisable when the files have been deleted recently – it takes considerable shorter time, and it’s usually more than enough to find files that haven’t been seriously damaged. Severely damaged files will require you to make use of the Full Analysis, which performs its magic at a lower level and at a slower pace, too. This analysis can be set to be a “content-aware analysis” so that all recoverable files will be organized by type to help you select the right files to recover. All recoverable files are listed in the next step, and shown as thumbnails (when possible) for you to have a quick preview of the file found. When in doubt, you can rely on the program’s full-screen preview to help you identify the right files and documents. more
